So everyone has been waiting to hear the details of the E-Book Challenge – The Jamaica Sprint to # 1 E-Book. This is it!

The Mission

I want to be the first author from outside the USA to have a # 1 E-Book. The Challenge and E-Book, ‘On Seraph Wings: Memoirs of a Country Girl’ will be launched May 1, 2015 at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Record, owned by the world’s fastest man alive! Jamaica is the sprinting capital of the world, thus the word ‘Sprint’ was chosen. Check your inbox often you may get an e-invite!

The Concept

  • The idea is to start the ‘sprint’ with 100 persons who will download the first 100 copies. Each one will challenge 5 others to download a copy of the E-Book for $8.76 (+ 23 cents sundry charges) within 48 hours. The cost is symbolic, the same as the area code for Jamaica ‘876’.

  • The goal is to have 1,000,000 downloads by December 31, 2015, by Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica all over the globe.

  • A percentage of the proceeds will go to the 3 rural schools mentioned in the book for well needed infrastructural development; Coley’s Mountain Primary, Nazareth All Age and Bishop Gibson High. After satisfying this need in a first world context, other schools can request direct assistance.

The Message

On Seraph Wings: Memoirs of a Country Girl’ is a GREAT story. Dream a Bigger Dream! It’s NOT about where you are from! If your dream doesn’t scare you it’s not big enough.’

This real life story will arrest your attention as soon as you turn the first page. It is the true story of a young girl from rural Jamaica who defies all odds and blooms like a lily out of the mud. Journey with Sandra, through the ups and downs, twists and turns of her life, as she shares this story of inspiration and spirit. It will push you over the edge of whatever is holding you back and help you build your wings as your dreams take flight.

Why should Jamaicans care?

National Pride – This is a cause that Jamaicans the world over can rally around.

The Jamaican spirit is indomitable. We rallied around the Black, Gold and Green behind Renee Simoes and the Reggae Boys in 1998 and the Jamaican Olympic team to Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012. In 2013 we supported Tessanne Chin’s dream to win the Voice and she did. So one thing I know for sure is that the Jamaican spirit is alive and soaring, anywhere in the world.

The Dream

Re-kindle the Jamaica spirit and have the # 1 E-Book before the end of the year –

1,000,000 downloads!

With the technology we now have at our fingertips this dream is possible.

More details tomorrow on how to get involved.

Sandra
