Can Jamaicans the world over catapult a Jamaican story to bestseller status online?
Made in Jamaica is the most beautiful label. All things nice and wonderful Jah-mek-yah (God made here)!
Jamaica is known for the spirit of the people, sand, sea, sunshine, sensimilla, spicy jerk, sweet reggae music and sweet ‘pitayta pudden’ (potato pudding). We are also the undisputed sprint factory of the world and the list goes on and on….
The Jamaican spirit is indomitable. It was born out of the colourful and sometimes ‘dark’ story of our people and exemplified by our heroes sung and unsung. We rallied around the Black, Gold and Green behind Renee Simoes and the Reggae Boys in 1998 and the Jamaican Olympic team to Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012. In 2013 we supported Tessanne Chin’s dream to win the Voice and she did. So one thing I know for sure is that the Jamaican spirit is alive and soaring, anywhere in the world.
What if we could have the # 1 E-Book before the end of the year and add this to the list of ‘Made in Jamaica’? With the technology we have at our fingertips (pun intended) this dream is possible.
